Last year at this time I was unemployed, so, yeah, I went nuts with the models. This year I have a really busy full-time job, so model watching takes a back seat to that. Unfortunately...and fortunately!

I spent a couple hours watching models.

I'm in N VA.

Climo says I get 1-2 inches snow in December.

Strong La Nina rules this winter.

I should not have even gotten two inches of snow this month. There should not be any ice on area waterways. Ground should be cool but not frozen.

It should be in the upper 50s with rain this week, maybe a rumble of thunder.

SE Ridge should be roaring.

That's why I only spent 2 hours all month watching models. It's also why I am so excited about getting 2 inches of snow in N VA. Northern VA is NOT snow country in any weather pattern, and I shall never get to move north.

I don't work in the forecast field, so had to make other priority go to the top of the list, hence zero action the past week and up to today. I also tend to use a lot of other stuff to forecast...not models.

Not a waste of time at all regardless of the outcome. Just a fun hobby and constantly learning as I go. Sitting in traffic on the beltway everyday is a waste of my time.......except when I'm reading the models on my crackberry while sitting on 495.....

I've lost focus at work entirely.....all I do is browse this board. If only the boss knew how much time I waste posting and looking at these god forsaken models.
