Msalgado
This is sensational. Basically Reddit has submission rules from that sub that they are now enforcing stronger having to do with the posts being to actual scientific publications. If a skeptic publishes a peer reviewed article, they can post it there just like any other peer reviewed scientific article.
PhillipS
Given that there is a fundamental difference between an honest skeptic and a pseudo-skeptic (denier) I feel that Reddit's action is a great way to improve the signal to noise ratio of climate change discussions. Focus on the science and omit any mentions of hoaxes, conspiracies, emails, sky-dragons, or any repeatedly debunked denialist zombie memes. Rehashing denialist nonsense is about as useless, and as boring, as rehashing the Civil War.
donsutherland1
This appears to be a step aimed at fostering higher-quality discussion. Placing an emphasis on evidence-based discourse can facilitate that end. Requiring that participants in discussions be able to back their arguments with credible evidence is not unreasonable in that context. After all, science requires one to test hypotheses and reach conclusions based on evidence.
