Hoosier
This would be unheard of in the summer. I remember a system in Feb or March several years ago that produced insane totals in the OV but this might take the cake for December.

Stebo
I am curious what the record is for December for the entire lower 48, this has to be close to it. Certainly it has to be a state record for the month of December at this point.

wxdudemike
Did end up with a few isolated severe gusts here in Ohio, although most were in the 40-50 mph range. Quite a dynamic system! hoosierwx
Have exactly 4 inches in my rain gauge with all but maybe a tenth or two falling on the 21st. We were lucky in the fact that the precip shield lifted just north of us for a good 4 or 5 hours. We made up for some of that when the qlcs moved through with some very heavy rain in the order of an inch or so in about 15 or 20 minutes. Hydrographs here all already up to #8 on historical crests and still rising, will be interesting to see where it finishes up.

radionicist
We picked up about 2.9" of rain from Friday into last night, and lost around another .8" or so of water in the snowpack. This gauge is about 300 yards from my office: Bad enough, but it could have been worse. The basement in my old building fills, including the ductwork, which means going without heat for a day or two until I can get it cleaned out. nwohweather
Here are pictures from the Portage River just east of Elmore Ohio By the way that is a field completely underwater, the river is all the way in the distance where the trees are. Really shows how high and deep the river is, if it wasn't for the 10 foot rise where the house and barn reside then more serious issues would occur such as what's going on in Findlay Ohio currently
