Snowstorms
Warning? Not seeing it, must have been a draft? Doubt they would issue a warning for this system so early, unless the warning is for tomorrow's freezing rain. Yeah he's right, freezing rain warnings have been issued for the GTA. harrisale
haha I had to go double check and ya its finally up in the alert section now Vague on details (none actually) but I'm going to assume this is for tomorrow's event, or they could simply continue it until Sunday. Thundersnow12
Yeah that nrn stream wave continues to look more impressive and bring down even colder air. Chicago gets in on some snow this run but doesn't look like too much.

Chicago WX
If this thing slows down enough, could be one hell of a storm for the upper midwest into the eastern plains. models aren't showing that yet, but they might. Should be a good one for Lincoln, NE.

A-L-E-K
15z SREF plumes for ORD took a baby step up from 9z, less sub 1" members, larger spread between 1-4" Decent cross model consensus for 1-4" of back end defo snows for the N/NW part of the CWA. Hopefully we can get a few more timing changes to go our way and bump these numbers up a bit.

Still think this thing looks pretty funky on the models, but at least there is a little more cold air being modeled to work with now. Those earlier solutions just didn't make much sense given the time of year and air mass north of the border. I anticipate some more surprises, but have no idea if they will benefit those of us in the LOT zones. My gut tells me not to expect much snow out of this storm, but it's all a learning process. edit: looks like I'm getting a WSW for slop & a few inches of snow. That's as good a guess as any, I suppose. Ballsy LOT map:

weatherbo
Have to admit, I'm a little disappointed how this is likely to play out. A little snow is better than none. APX just not impressed with the snow potential of this storm in general for anyone.... Good luck down state/Wisc/N il
