I expect a lot of meltdowns similar to mine today from our friends to the north Eh, they will be fine, they always are. Plenty of snow for them. cny rider
Well if you are looking at OP runs fo the GFS...all you have to do is wait until 18z or 00z and I'm sure you'll find happiness. Stick to ensembles in the long range. And for long range patterns are we mainly looking at the 500 mb pattern?
Typhoon Tip
It is pretty awesome watching the news, reminded me of 77.Epic cold in the MW I remember that winter back when, as I lived in Kalamazoo at the time. They are -11 with winds gusting to 28 mph. I am noticing also that ice is packing in the Lakes over all ... side note. Any question as to whether the EPO is primary cold loader ? Cnn...msn..jet blue airlines lol. Its so stupid its funny It's out of control. The new way that media tries to hit home is by saying 140 million people in its path....etc. Al Roker even called it "an arctic hurricane" over the Great Lakes. ORH_wxman
I don't remember the news doing this even in our 2004 outbreak which was sick. Maybe I just don't remember because I was too busy counting cards at Foxwoods back then. But seriously, its like some of the media thinks that temperatures don't fluctuate. Ginx snewx
Why do Mets get upset when the MSM uses technical terms Granted Al Roker is a joke but I have seen it time and time again, it's like they have these little silos they try to protect. It's not that much of a rocket science to explain the polar vortex correctly which I did hear and see several times today, Al Roker aside.
Ginx snewx
I thought the news was great today, awesome pics, stories of pure winter, been a decade since we had such an outbreak. Not seeing as it as hype either doesn't get any colder than what happened in the upper Midwest with the winds, also like the fact people are so into weather and Mets should be too, more demand for their services. HoarfrostHubb
It just seems a bit over the top to even mention it. I had my students learning about it a few months ago when they were studying gliders.
