ma blizzard
looks like theres a glaze on the trees around shrewsbury above ~600'. noticable at the center of town, closer to 700'. rotting at 32.5 imby at 440' as is typical in a very marginal freezing rain situation
dendrite
My temp probe must be calibrated well. I've been rotting at 31.9-32.1F for a couple hours and the hole to my tipping bucket just melted open allowing a lot of water to pour through. tamarack
Don't know if it's storm related or not, but all the computers in our state building have gone blank simultaneously twice today, followed by automatic reboot. Oddly, this event took away all my recent places on Wunderground and forced me to log in here, neither of which happen when I turn off the machine the usual way at the end of the day. Looks like about 0.5" ice here, will check closer when I leave in a few minutes.

polski
Minor accretion since mid-morning in Newburyport and W Newbury MA. The well-brined roads were fine to drive on but there's enough ice that my insufficiently supported 7-8' juniperus virginiana (Eastern red "cedar") are bent parallel to the ground (pic later). I don't have one of them fancy temperature gauges but ice now appears to be melting so I'm going to hazard a guess we're above 32F .... Also can't find my old pica ruler but from the photo upthread of 0.167" I'd say we're probably around 0.1" here. Not what I expected 24 hrs ago when temps here were progged to be in the mid- to upper 40s.

wxeyeNH
Just broke 32F here in Bridgewater NH too. Drove down to Boston and back today. Trees are glazed from Exit 20 on up on interstate 93. This morning I saw some glazing all the way down to the northern suburbs of Boston but on the way back it had all melted until you reach Central NH. Snow on the ground is pretty solid until the Ma/NH line. 50% snow line reaches down to about Rt 128 north of Boston. Saw a white squirrel in downtown Boston, the hightlight of my trip. Never had seen one!

wheelman
At the intersection of I-95 and I-295 in Gardiner, Maine... light to moderate rain. 31 degrees. Serious ice accretion... .5"+. Non-stop tree falling sounds since 1400. This is a serious problem in this neck of the woods. FYI, power went out at 1000 and was restored at 1445. Lots of flickering since then, however it has stayed on. The slightest breeze brings serious tree crashing. If we get any decent wind, this area will be dark for a week.
