It will at least clear the snow off the ponds/lakes and let it refreeze this week.we have 2 obs threads for this. This one for the cold side and the grinch one for the warmth. wx2fish
No definitely lightning. Without a doubt. Plenty of reports of it this morning, even on the SLK ASOS. Our lightning data had 2-3 strikes around Stowe.
eyewall
In a rough guess we may be closing in on 0.5" of ice and there is a a lot of sleet on the ground (At least an inch, maybe two). I stayed overnight at my parents in Williston (not far from the 2 and 2a intersection). We have power, but I am not sure what conditions are like elsewhere around. Waiting for daylight to grab some pics.

Allenson
As expected, we've been stuck and rotting away in the mid 30s for hours and hours. Never got above 38, never below 33.
SnowMan
Looks like we could get a trace of ice. Is it possible this could effect driving at all?

tamarack
About 0.1" accretion though we have -ZR at 26F so the ice should slowly increase. The 0.57" LE overnight appears to be mostly tiny IP with ZR and even some snow. Maybe speaking too soon, but I think MBY has dodged the bullet. However, the NNE thread had a map showing 1"+ accretion along the St. Lawrence in NY. (Might be upthread here, have not checked.)
powderfreak
They've been 33F for hours. Interesting. Still is icing in town per reports. I guess it looks like it went to 33F at the 6am observation. Stowe Electric has some trees on wires it sounds like, which is the flickering lights. Sitting at 29F at 1500ft.
