40/70 Benchmark
Looks like the cold will stop around Lawrence....every run warmer. Sucks. This has been an all-out torch. All of those damming flags for ne MA look to go down in a cloud of fail.

scoob40
Wow. 43/38 here in Greenfield. Sun out there? Clouds here may be the difference. Yes. Filtered at times but it's making a difference.
powderfreak
Thanks guys, is there one out there with wind barbs? wunderground.com's interactive map is usually very good for this stuff...the temps are all real-time off private weather stations. powderfreak
Euro still keeps the heaviest precip north of the ZR area. Hopefully that is the case. Oh really? That's great news for the BTV area. I'll have to have a good look when it comes out on Wunderground.
N. OF PIKE
Btv wrf continues the trend of cold air bleed into ne mass around 7am (when 40 isotherm sinks s to a Winthrop-Fitchburg line ) and By 1pm the 35f isotherm is from revere to wawa and freezing temps look possible from n essex to NE orh county. powderfreak
Current North Country temperatures... BTV area is going to have some issues as heavier precip is already moving in. Luckily over here in the valley on the east side of the mountain, its 34F so we are avoiding ice but also avoiding huge melt at the moment. powderfreak
I mean for srn Maine and NH. Oh bummer....those guys in the Champlain Valley are f'd. Moderate freezing rain at 27/25 and hearing from a lot of friends that there's already a quarter inch of ice down from yesterday/last night's ice. I mean if you are getting a steady supply of air in the 20s with dews low to mid 20s...while it's in the 40s like 1000ft overhead, you are going to have big problems. SnowMan
Meanwhile...drip drip drip here. I am resigned myself to this awful situation finally. Hopefully from Tuesday on we have an epic run of cold and storms.
Logan11
Originally I thought it was mainly a Sunday torch, but this is a bloodbath. Probably three straights days at 50+ because the cold is slow to come in Monday. The warmth has pushed way up into northern NY and VT at elevations. 50 here now and snow is going fast. Dude...this is brutal. 55.1/

Logan11
I don't have an ice storm fetish..just wanted to see if we could drain down enough cold to preserve some snowpack. But that looks futile now with 50's across the whole area eating it up. If one can't have..we all can't have

dendrite
that was fast Well we've gone calm so I think we're cooling from the snow surface-up. We're probably a crow's fart away from jumping back into the 40s. Hopefully we just rot calm until about 12Z tomorrow morning. 35.3F
