forkyfork
Snowpack discussion is not banter it is related to the potential warmup coming... it's a little weird
40/70 Benchmark
you can see the CAD nicely on the EURO. the 00z run has KCON at like 35F midday on Sunday...but DXR is 62F. I'll be content to remain under 45*....that may retain some sembalance of a pack...
subdude
So how much of the snowpack is going to get wiped out this weekend? hey mods - I'm mostly a lurker with the occasion observation post or two, so I don't feel like I've a lot of weight here, but can you remind folks to keep the discussion thread free of banter? It's pretty painful to read single sentence posts over and over again in the diiscussion thread about how the snowpack is going to melt, the dog is going to run away, and the wife is going to leave because hubby doesn't know how to keep a proper snowpack around through Christmas. Thanks. lol
Damage In Tolland
I'll be content to remain under 45*....that may retain some sembalance of a pack... You have a good shot at staying in the 30's most of the weeknd

40/70 Benchmark
This may turn into a Spring back door scenario. The kind where NE MA is stuck in the cold and CT is torched. I could see that and it's modeled as such.
CoastalWx
That is pretty cool. In other news, some warm water building over the tropical Pacific subsurface.

CAD is the savior for some folks with this... That's a big, ugly mess on the GFS. If it verifies warm, we melt, if it drops just a little, it is Dec 2008 again... That's the type of gradient we will have. Just an example.
Chrisrotary12
In other news, pattern looks pretty good after Christmas. Agreed. GEFS has a nice looking ridge out west post-Christmas. Euro control run has a parade of systems off the East Coast post-Christmas.
CoastalWx
that's a bit late in the season to help? Yes, but it can help tropical convection out in the WPAC to move east.
