Just looked at a few "local" COOPs, and here's their season snowfall totals through yesterday. Pretty incredible numbers. When it's all over, I hope to do a fairly extensive list of all Indiana locations and amounts.

Tipton 5 SW: 78.6"

Frankfort Disposal Plant: 76.4"

Kokomo 3 WSW: 70.2"

It's moving the goal posts around a bit, but I thought it was kind of interesting. Far and away, March 2013-February 2014 is the snowiest such period in recorded history for Indianapolis.

Updated numbers for these locations as of yesterday

Tipton 5 SW:  80.5"

Frankfort Disposal Plant:  76.5"

Kokomo 3 WSW:  70.7"

First time I've looked at those Tipton numbers in detail.  They seem questionable especially with the early January storm but I noticed you didn't double count and just went with the total that was listed on the 6th.

I mentioned to Tim a while ago that I don't know how many valid comparisons there are in terms of seasonal snowfall totals this far south in the US outside of mountainous areas and areas that benefit from LES.  Some of the reporting sites around here will have over 80" (hell that Tipton site could go over 90") with others over 70" by the time it's all over.  I know areas around Philly/DC had 70"+ totals in 2009-10 but other than that???

Correct. I took the 13" as their storm total.
