What's with all the asterisks on some of them?

Yeah, kinda confusing I guess. It was to trying to indicate two day totals from two different amounts/dates in a three day period, such as the one below...

December 7, 1966: 0.76"

December 8, 1966: 1.58"

Total: 2.34"

December 8, 1966: 1.58"

December 9, 1966: 0.99"

Total: 2.57"

Dec 2013-Jan 2014 is currently 9th snowiest on record for Indianapolis, for all Dec-Jan periods.

2013-14 is currently the 22nd snowiest meteorological winter (DJF) on record for Indianapolis.

I'm not seeing any additional real snow in the next week or two, outside a few very minor snowfalls. Hopefully Feb will deliver and take this met winter into the top 10. Just 5.4" away from a tie for 10th...

January thaw for Indianapolis? Yep, every single year, sometimes exceptionally so. Well, except for January 1977...the only month to never record a temperature higher than 32º (technically, 31º was the highest that month).

Every year's 40º+, 50º+, and 60º+ days for Indianapolis in January, via the link below.
