Yeah I'm on the eastern edge of it, getting light to moderate snow again. Wish it would shift due East! :devilsmiley:

It stopped here. That last squall dropped about an inch in 15 minutes. It was pouring snow.

I picked up 4 inches before 3 pm today and another 2 in the 3 squalls totaling 6 inches.

Not too shabby.

I have to shovel again though.  Tired

So before i stop posting for the night. What are we looking at this week. Tomorrow 1-3 and then bitter cold with low wind chills.

Yeah looks like 1-2 tomorrow coming in 2 different waves. About an inch with the warm front, then about an inch when the arctic front swings through. After that just bitter cold. Next shot at light snow looks to come Thursday night into Friday morning. After that we get into that period were models are waffling between warming us up and keeping things more seasonal.

For the cold, I've filled up one of those 18 gallon totes with water and have it on the porch freezing. We did the food coloring water balloons with my daughter and I have those out freezing too. If it all goes to plan the tote will freeze solid and I'll flip it over and after we open the balloons use it as a display table. Gotta find something to do with these bitter temps lol.

Taking a look at some of the 511 traffic cams, roads all over the metro are snow covered, even 579 and 376 downtown.

Not sure if it was intentional, but the snow today was kinda downplayed, in favor of the upcoming cold weather.

The possibility for a period of heavier snow was there, so putting light snow in the forecast for the public was a bit misleading.

Still pouring snow here - we've picked up close to 2.5" just this morning.  Pretty surprising.  I saw the models give us .10 of QPF over the next 24 hours, but this heavy blob of snow wasn't expected, AFAIK.  We may pick up another couple inches between now and tomorrow, to boot.  Pretty impressive 48 hours of snowfall for this area; definitely the most I've seen since living here.

And it's not even February.  If we can get some blocking and southern stream interaction in the snowiest month, we might do very well.
