forkyfork
Not in that areamaybe not exactly, but they hinted that someone near ne ct/n ri/se ma would be screwed. that's why we say that models are used for guidance
DavisStraight
Is that little burst in SW Conn going to hold together moving NE?
DavisStraight
Someone is closing in on 4, i would say. Got about 3 in melrose, dumping Im at 4" but look to be just getting the tail end of the heavy band. Not sure about that band in SW Conn, if that holds together might be good for another inch. Damage In Tolland
maybe not exactly, but they hinted that someone near ne ct/n ri/se ma would be screwed. that's why we say that models are used for guidanceLike we said before,, models tend to pick that there will be a dryslot , but they typically don't get the area correct. Countless examples of this

Lava Rock
Snowing lightly. Maybe we'll get 2-3" but back edge not that far away Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk
ROOSTA
That's a darn good call. Thanks, That's a climo map and 40 years experience given the model trend. Close but for many not close enough, a high bust potential for sure.

Baroclinic Zone
Put this one in the memory bank. Compact MCV type system, will wreak havoc on models and just N of surface track there will be a subsidence zone. As a side, I recall Scooter mentioning the MCV idea a few days ago and the thought crossed my mind of a screw zone. Models hinted at it but never fully picked up n it. The dryslot I discussed was not what happened in SE MA. Different mechanisms. Looking back at the soundings I posted this AM, flags should have gone off. I recall seeing how shallow the saturation layer was. It was from the surface up to about 800mb(will have to check). Not the best setup for snow. Time to look forward to after Christmas for any threats. Looks "warm" for the next week or so.

Part of the reason I wasn't that excited today. That said...I'm interested in the 2-3am to 8am period for a surprise snow band along EMA and the Cape that may catch many off guard. Need the 8h to close later tonight...will see. Oh..and need it to cool off, frosty's sweating his chestnuts off in most of SE MA.
