mattb65
Best pressure falls are southeast of Nantucket, MA, Nantucket, MA itself has 2mb/hr pressure falls, down to 1017.8mb. Lightning increasing too with the warm front of the coastal. This storm is staying to our southeast Phil, I don't think we turn to rain and if we did it will be brief. you'll be in the 40s by 8PM. This. The rain is coming weenie-san
Clinch Leatherwood
Snowing moderately. 18Z FOUS suggests box may have been wise with the wsw here. Euro and 18z 4km both would indicate to me some decent shows continue on the east coast all night. Combination of synoptic and onshore flow. Could pile up pretty nicely IMO. Chrisrotary12
Snowing very nicely here in Pepperell. Looks like another few hours of this to give most their accumulations.
Tropopause_Fold
center of the little meso low is right over central LI right now. SE wind at KFOK and up to 45(!)...but 11 miles west at HWV it's 34 with a N wind
Clinch Leatherwood
HRR was atrocious in EMA with this snow. Go back and look at the accum snow for the period ending about 0z from later this morning vs the 19z. LOL

Tropopause_Fold
speaking of hrrr - fwiw latest run loves the area inside of 495 and especially 128. it's pretty funny the contours get really tight but its spitting out 6 to 7" right inside the city...but only 2-3 by the time you get toward ORH. Also note vs a few hours ago it's keeping the low a little east...so now we have decent NNE winds in the bay after this evening. I think the OES stuff will materialize. Zeus
S+ Yes but radar looks like a dry spot is heading our way... based on the RAP though the dry spot should go away relatively quickly as some heavy stuff sets up shop over us for a good 2-3 hours. We'll see.
Clinch Leatherwood
RGEM at 18z back to dumping 10mm up around Boston and right on the coast.
ApacheTrout
Congrats on the 4-8 inches coming to the northern half of BOX's cwa. I was so distracted by the wahhhmbulence heralding the arrival of Winter Cancel that I was surprised to see WSWs posted.
Clinch Leatherwood
Low is squashing east now. Can see where it may be jumping south of us...some storms maybe evident on OKX. Latest HRRR brings it further east now, right over ACK and near/over the outer cape. Could be some surprise totals along the coast and up to the north. MTP is 39F with due S wind.
ROOSTA
Latest RAP has an appendage hanging back (deformation) to about Boston maybe little south as the main convection pulls away. A second batch appears to clip the Eastern shores well into early morning hours.

Baroclinic Zone
i'll admit i was fooled by the 12z models today. i nailed the short duration of this system but models were too generous with distribution of qpf. my call may likely verify if this band on radar comes thru. 3-5" was my final call for interior se ma, maybe on the low end of that. 2-4" as box had it probably should have stood up. even they saw the 12z models and jumped on it.
