mahk_webstah
Latest core is 7.0" new and 0.63" liquid. That puts the total at 11.0"/0.87". That last band featured some loud heavily rimed flakes/graupel that contributed to the high reflectivities. CON has had 0.83" through the can so the w.e. isn't far off. They've actually had more liquid than me since midnight. There were some 30-40dbz bands moving ne and getting CON. They clipped me and you but CON got them a little better. Was watching and hoping for buildback or slowing down but alas. Going out to measure in a bit, but I'm probably within an inch of you. Good storm! mahk_webstah
i dunno how to do screen captures but the last few frames ofthe radar show the convection in the se gulf of maine making an "L" shape. I wonder if that is the lowcation?

moneypitmike
Damn. As a result of the spike in temps last night, my average temp for the day went up 3* from where it had been sitting. 6.9* instead of 4*. Still was a chilly day, though. HIPPYVALLEY
I'll say a very conservative 10" here. 7.5" when I went to bed and cleared the board and just under 4" on it now. Compaction shows 9" - 9.5" otg several other places I measured. 19F with mist. Doesn't seem like there was much taint here as it's very powdery n inch under the top layer. Box maps were right on for this area.

Most of Ct and a chunk of W/Ctrl MA was barely snowing from 10pm onward. While it was SN+ here and further E.
mahk_webstah
very light under the radar mood snow continuing here. the kind that makes the trees across the road look a little foggy and gray. If this continues for the rest of the morning we will get another inch lol.

I'm sure there was some compacting and I did ping for at least a few minutes (that hateful sound on the windows). The pinging was not long-lived, fortunately, but had to have had some impact on compaction. But, the measurement is what the measurement is. moneypitmike
What's the time line for the cold air to come back to the south shore up ? Looks like the wind's beginning to veer to the NW here, so I guess it's on its way down there. Now up to 17.9/16, What a horrible temperature graph.
