DavisStraight
Hit 7" still light snow but the sleet line is making headway. For Dec 15 I'll take it and run.

DomNH
5.2'' new. -SN with crap snowgrowth. Decent event but a little disappointed we couldn't achieve heavy snow or sustain much moderate snow (yet). Can't keep my eyes open any more and I don't see any signs of impressive +SN on the way. Probably end up with about 8 as I thought.

JJBASHB
Getting that fog look in the street lights. Best band of the night, good snow growth and near heavy rates. Back to all snow after briefly mixing with graupel.
snowgeek
Just hit 10" and the heaviest band yet is nearly upon us.....hopefully not tainted.

phil882
Running out of real estate for any mix around ALB though. POU still has snow as per the asos anyway at 2:00 AM. Still though after this last really impressive band there is some shallow precip that will likely be under the SGZ that won't be fully snow, maybe sleet/grains. Just hit 10" and the heaviest band yet is nearly upon us.....hopefully not tainted. Its not... we have been all snow here although the ratios will be down somewhat due to heavy rimming on the flakes. Logan11
You picked the wrong December. I was in Europe last December and it was really cold with numerous snow events. NAO is totally uncooperative this year though. Thanks, wishing I was home. I got another week here, then home for Christmas and snow!

Zand
Starting to ping here. Still only 17F and still flakes flying too but feels like Valentines Day '07 all over again. So frustrating to have this big of a cold air mass and have it be all for not. 7.5" OTG.
40/70 Benchmark
S+ Some of the best snow of the night...transitioning to a wet, dense snow now...about 1"/hr 30.8/30 7"
ORH_wxman
Sleet approaching the pike region now. Over 7" now. Trying to stay up for the pingers, but not sure I make it. All nighters aren't as easy as 5 years ago.
mattb65
I measured 5.5" but it is now very sticky wet snow heading toward mashed potato consistency and seems to have compacted a bit compared to measurements earlier. Also lots of trees around so reality could be a bit more than I measured. It is currently absolutely pounding heavy huge aggregates. I can't imagine we last a whole lot longer before the flip to pingers or rain or kitchen sink. Very glad the hi-res and short term models verified so well - stuck right around 32/31.8. Much respect to the power of this arctic airmass to be on the wrong side of the coastal front almost the entire storm in mid December and still be all snow after 9 hours of an east wind. Just awesome.

snowgeek
At 11" now. About 2" in last hour. Last heavy band is through. Should end up around a foot. Finally, Albany doesn't get screwed
Logan11
Plenty of sleet reports almost to the City of Albany in the Hudson valley and also the Berkshires. But it's sort of irrelevant at this late moment. Sleet approaching the pike region now. Over 7" now. Trying to stay up for the pingers, but not sure I make it. mattb65
Some sort of crazy looking gravity waves off to my east and almost looks like a little mesolow or something out in Boston harbor, time sensitive. http://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?type=BOX-N0Q-1-
