ROOSTA
14.9/11 WOW I'm beginning to think I might be right on the boundary. And a feeling that it's only going downhill as it shifts to the North and West. Only slightly though. Only about an inch and the treated roads are wet. CoastalWx
There are some funky things going on near NYC. Seems like G wave interference and convective nature of the snow.

WeatherX
For what it's worth, I have yet to see any lightning (in cloud or otherwise) north of the NC/VA border. Probably a little too early to see that in SNE. It was totally random and if I wasn't outside observing, it would have been missed.

Definitely looks like it like due east of Toms River. You can see the base velocity reverse direction a few times there right around the zero isodop. butterfish55
After a lull of an hour or so, steady snow has moved back in. Looks like the real deal now for as long as it'll hold on for... 23/

Bruinsyear
Here in Melrose, light snow since 5 pm or so, about an 1". It didn't take long to accumulate on roads, very cold air today but we are hitting our high of the day at 23.2 and the wind does have an East component already, so not thrilled. Most of the snow today was just front running ocean enhanced here. We are just getting into the real precip shield now!

Yeah it's a bit too warm aloft, but funny that GFS is doing a better job and seemingly Euro too.

#NoPoles
Talk about mass weenie suicide- My forecast went from getting a foot of snow with heavier amounts in areas where banding sets up with potential Thunder Snow...to 3-5inches and a change to rain by 5am...sheesh...that's a huge change in less than 24hrs...#NoBlocking#SouthEastRidge #ToasterBath
wxmanmitch
We're definitely getting some shadowing going on with the easterly wind with -SN. Hopefully the forcing associated with that heavier band moving in from the south will be enough to counteract the effects of the shadowing. 11.5° F, up from 10.0° F.
