Toronto4
Hopefully the lake band can make one last thrust to the north. The heart of it is so tantalizingly close! Based on radar trends, I think it will. It'll be close, though.

Ottawa Blizzard
Steady light snow is falling in north Scarborough. I'm guessing the heaviest snow will be this evening and overnight.

weathernut
Which models are these? This seems way too quick to me. Winds aren't really going to start backing until this evening. HRRR has the band hanging around Mississauga/south Toronto for most of the day. 12z hi-rez NAM has the band right over Hamilton at 5pm. 12z RGEM has the band right over Hamilton by 3pm. Chicago Storm
3.5" here thus far...With better snows moving back in.
weathernut
back to moderate snow and whiteouts with blowing snow in Hamilton. the leading edge of synoptic snow is arriving and getting a burst of intensity as it interacts with the lake breeze. Should be a good day!
Chicago WX
definitely picking up now as the heavier returns move in HRRR loves us. Or did with the 13z run. Belated congrats on the move BTW.
Chitown Storm
probably picked up over .5" in the last hour with a heavy band sitting over mby. Shoveled the sidewalk earlier, and it's covered again. Nice little overachiever we have here.

snowstormcanuck
12z hi-rez NAM has the band right over Hamilton at 5pm. 12z RGEM has the band right over Hamilton by 3pm. I'm not sure how you can tell. The band is obscured by the synoptic snow both those models are showing. I'll take a look at the 4km NAM when it comes in less than an hour. WestCoaster
Ripping in the downtown core. Solid SN with nice flake size as that LE band moves onshore. With the wind speed and snow rate out my window right now here in Forest Hill, looks exactly like it did during the early February storm we had this year. Toronto has been beating Hamilton so far with this event in terms of snow rates.

I'm guessing the 4-5pm timeframe is when things settle back over Burlington/Hamilton. Looks like the heaviest of the synoptic snow should arrive between 5-6pm and last through to 4am, according to the latest RGEM Canadian model.
