You guys are jackpotting with this initial overrunning... congrats!

Ya I'm absolutely shocked. I was expecting flurries/light snow all day. I knew we were going to do ok considering the temp(making it easy for the snow to stick) but I never expected 2 inches at 10:30am. Just got to hope the rain tonight doesn't melt it all :yikes:

Heavy snow right now... Visibly is probably a half mile

Visibility of 1/2 mile does not equate to heavy snow. More so moderate as usually 1/4 mile visibility is considered heavy snow. Technicalities. It's snowing so who really cares about technicalities!!

Light to moderate snow out in Port Jeff Station, about 1" on the ground. Roads covered. 25 degrees. Started here before 6 a.m. Nice morning surprise!

 

Steady moderate snow in Port Jefferson...accumulating nicely.
