Drive up from Atlantic City was very interesting. Temperatures in the low 40s all the way to Toms River and then a big drop in just a few miles it was 32 in Brick and snowing. Temperature continued to drop to under 30 throughout Mon mouth County and parkway was snow coated. Warm air on the way though.

But that's only reflective of the SSTs, now at about 50.

It's 47 degrees in Cape May, NJ and 13 degrees in High Point, NJ.  That's amazing.

they are probably sitting just south of that front that went through earlier - also this is another reason you can't group the Philly /South Jersey thread with the NYC/North Jersey thread - 2 completely different types of weather during many  of these storms

Ok so let's assume it's accurate and the radars. "Terrible" at what point of 2 in the afternoon was the radar suppose to be profound?

The radar wasn't supposed to pick up til later...I wasn't implying that statement about the radar was correct but he seemed to get under people's skin way too easily. The guy is very good poster even if he says what a lot of people don't want to hear ..lets just move on

0.2 inches barely here...so meager....28 and very light snow. That heavy stuff is going to need to be here for about 3 hours with below freezing temaps for my area to see 3 inches or mor. Im thinking I end up with 1-2 then sloppy rain

And this is exactly what most models are showing...heavy stuff arriving a little before 00z and the changeover not happening until around 3z.  At least here...maybe there'll be a sharp gradient just to the south.

Snow finally picking up here now and the radar appears to be filling in.

I agree but I've only been here for a few weeks and I've noticed considerably nothing he posts is positive, and gets in fights with posters all the time.. Many people are well above what they wee expecting by this time of the day already so I personally feel it is trolling for attention, I'll gladly take this convo to banter and I apologize for even posting it here

Ace, you're better than that. The radar was never supposed to be all that impressive at this point, so why try to instigate? Plus, if anything, the event has slightly overperformed so far for C NJ and north, given there have already been lots of 1"+ accumulations well before the event was supposed to get going.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I thought this was an observations thread?

So with that,

The cloud deck is seemingly thickening up now. Moderate snow occurring here(for the first time today) and sticking finally.

He was observing that the radar looked like crap, lol. Only problem is it doesn't. The snow is increasing in coverage and intensity and I don't have my snow goggles on.
