CT Rain
I really like what I'm seeing right now in the 12z runs. We're going to absolutely rip this evening... great snow growth around 3z with a nice unstable layer right at the top of the snow growth zone. Might be able to crank some +TSSN for a period of time. The GFS does drop about 0.4" liquid of sleet and freezing rain after we flip at 6z... that would be ugly.

Ginx snewx
i have to say the guide that was posted by someone a few weeks back was pretty funny. it went through all of these exact measurement techniques and the correct size and placement and clearing of the board etc...and then talked about how to measure on grass. LOL Unreal, I would love to see them measure on the Cape like in Jan 05 on a board only. Clinch Leatherwood
BOX nods to the torch and lowers amounts. Calling for a mix here tonight in the western Franklin zfp. Alas. That's a great map. Unless a crazy oes thing happens should verify well in the southeast and southern portion. It's probably too high for me...1-2 or 1-3 better IMO

dendrite
This will be interesting to see who is right, GYX going 14-18" for PSM, WMUR going for 6" Like Chris said...GYX is closer to the 14" in the 14-18" zones and my hunch is he'd prefer it less than < 14", but I won't put words in his mouth. I think I like a blend of the 2.

IDK man its so much fun to me even with sleet and FRZRA at the end, just having the dynamics and something to track and play in is all good. I will be out trying to keep things cleaned off before the mix though, back issues and 5-6 inches of snow with heavy taint not a good combo. I hope everyone has a great time. it freezes after too which will make a great winter scene, then of course there is the mini refresher Tuesday. LR we deal with it. I'm actually really excited for this event. I'd rather have the dynamics and a flip to PL/ZR with heavier totals. Should be fun. I'm in today 230-1130pm and then again tomorrow morning from 530-1030 am. Hopefully the best stuff is right around 3z.

CapturedNature
BOX nods to the torch and lowers amounts. Calling for a mix here tonight in the western Franklin zfp. Alas. I think that's reasonable for my neck of the woods. I've been leaning 6-8" since the 0z runs last night. If things break right I could see 8" and BOX hints at that with 8" calls just to the north. This is good event - put down some white and ice pellets.

That was the first thing I did actually lol. I'm pretty sure I found a spot but the only issue is having it disrupted by others since it is a complex. I'm at work now but may go outside and grab a measurement soon and see what we have. Guessing we have to be close to an inch by now.
