CT Rain
Not many newscasts last night at 11 had roads covered at 8 in the AM Really? I'm surprised... models did a really nice job picking this up.
moneypitmike
I don't think the trend to warm has any affect on you at your location at all lol I was speaking regionally. Temperature spiking. 3.3/-
moneypitmike
Really? I'm surprised... models did a really nice job picking this up. Yup--I thought that would be CT's trade-off for any tainting that might take place later on.
Tropopause_Fold
BGM is half-mile moderate right now. 12F. LOL. that's awesome. would never want to live out there, but the winters in upstate NY are the real deal. some of those hill towns between BGM and ALB can get smoked. weatherwiz
I'm thinking you have ip, but not zr. Maybe a little as the dryslot moves in, but that would be it. It's a really intriguing situation b/c the NAM at least is not that far off from giving us freezing rain, even before the dry slot would work in. Even if it's just light freezing rain for a brief period, that would be enough to cause issues on the roadways and make it harder for those who have yet to shovel/plow. Ginx snewx
Really? I'm surprised... models did a really nice job picking this up. Even your station had "Cloudy with morning snow flurries giving way to a steadier, heavier snow by evening", going to be a fun ride when decent snows come in early. CoastalWx
tough to buy those surface temps....but that's a torch overall. still a good front end thump Yeah just might be lower to middle ends of ranges I guess. CT Rain
tough to buy those surface temps....but that's a torch overall. still a good front end thump Problem is sfc low is so far northwest we manage to flood SNE with quite an easterly component... the sfc low basically goes over GON. mattb65
Very lucky to have this antecedent airmass in place otherwise this late trend would be a complete toaster bath for all. I'm amazed that we probably will still manage as much snow as we do given the track of the system.

Ginx snewx
Yeah just might be lower to middle ends of ranges I guess. weatherwiz
Problem is sfc low is so far northwest we manage to flood SNE with quite an easterly component... the sfc low basically goes over GON. It deepens the low too between 6z and 12z which will really help to crank the easterly component of the winds.
