moneypitmike
I guess the earlier speculation on good ratios has gone out the window with the progged amounts looking close to 10:1. Regardless, it'll be pretty nippy. Out this way, forecasted high on Saturday is 15*, low Sat night 13*, warms Sunday to 25*.

moneypitmike
The fact that there's any shading on this at all is rather surprising. I guess this is their "ratios map".
Damage In Tolland
????? Don't you go to bed at 9:00a.m.? Nothing held serve from the last things you saw before then. Everything came northwest by a fair margin. Either way, it looks like we all get a little snow in the forecast which is a very, very good thing. Coldest morning of the season here at the Pit. 8.7/4 ????
moneypitmike
???? Sorry--I meant don't you go to bed at 9:00p.m. Lots changed with the 00z run.

Damage In Tolland
It looked like a lot of 00z went NW. Check GGEM, UKMET, NAM, GFS. Maybe we're splitting hairs..but track seemed to remain right over to ACk to inside BM
jamesnichols1989
RAP seems to think that the northern stream energy gets ejected ahead of main vortex and tries to phase with the overall trough, or it will lead to that. And the polar disturbance over the NW US seems ahead of schedule and is closing in on the southern stream disturbance over NM and AR. While the moisture field is way ahead of upper level disturbance. powderfreak
Maybe we're splitting hairs..but track seemed to remain right over to ACk to inside BM Yeah, I was just looking over the UKMET and GGEM when you posted that, so that's where I was coming from. But yes we are splitting hairs at this point, its not worth the debate because we all see what we want to see, lol. Not shocking the NW crowd thinks it went NW and the SE crowd says SE I doubt its as amped as the UKMET and GGEM...but they are almost identical. SnowMan
On the KASH soundings we have dry air to overcome at hr 36, but hours 42 and 48 look fantastic. Then at hr 54 the growth snow is only up to 600mb...

HIPPYVALLEY
It's not often you'll see an NWS snow map with amounts so uniform across the state. 6-8" from Beverly to the Berkshires. There will of course be some surprises in places. Awesome, region wide dumping.
