Wow the gfs is very warm. That would be like a 3-6 deal here before we rip pingers and ZR.

Pretty fast SW flow pumps in warm air.

The NAM is even warm to a degree but holds onto the colder air at the surface longer...actually not too far away from a period of freezing rain

Going from 5-9 to 2-4. Trend is not our friend jn this area. If that storm tracks over southeast ma. Well get a couple of inches before it's washed away by heavy rain.

Any mets thoughts for this area?

Heavy rain? I think you get the upper end of it before sleet pings and a little rain at the end. A net gain

or me in the winter.  I'm at a balmy 7F this morning.

Gonna' be fluffy.

Your morning lows' beat me 98% of the time year-round, not just winter!

What's even more impressive than the cool temps is that they took place as clouds were increasing and continued to drop long after heavy overcast had set in.

That Bohemian life-stye.

Have been below freezing since midnight Wednesday (and have been outside of 3 hours since Monday), and in the 20's or lower since noon on Wednesday.  Almost feels like winter.

3.0/-3

Hasn't the GFS shown daytime light snow in CT for the last several runs?

16-24" with snow until Monday.

LOL.  I was thinking that if Chris and I could finagle the ratios we had  yesterday, we'd be over 20".  Alas, we won't maintain those goose feather.

ZR threat def increased down there.

Was just looking at some of the NAM soundings and they definitely are quite intriguing.  The question at play is how warm do the low levels get?  Pretty much on the line of sleet vs. freezing rain but it definitely needs to be watched.
