nzucker
Looks like we did switch over for at least a short time.Dobbs Ferry was reporting 34F and rain around 4am...I think Westchester had a few hours of rain after 6-8" of snow. You switched over many hours after me...Southern Brooklyn changed to sleet/rain mix around 9pm.
DreamOften24
Link for SSB MM5 is here, but it quickly redirects. If you can read very fast you can see that they are replacing it: http://www.somas.stonybrook.edu/ITPA/npages/weather.html This one direct link seems to still work, but may not be updated every model run: http://cheget.msrc.sunysb.edu/loop/12km.boci.html FYI- The MM5 is antiquated and has been replaced with the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) Model. It is run twice daily from 00Z and 12Z NAM and GFS data down to 4 km horizontal resolution. The model data can be found here: http://dendrite.somas.stonybrook.edu/LI_WRF/index.html
