WVclimo
Ouch. You have a bit more snow cover there than I do here. Passed through your area today on the way to an appt next to IAD. I got a bit of the shaft on Tuesday (1.8") when Martinsburg down to your area got 3-5" accumulations.

I got a bit of the shaft on Tuesday (1.8") when Martinsburg down to your area got 3-5" accumulations. We have snow cover here. I am okay with rain from this system. I have still have ice on the driveway. So I am hoping the saving grace is to get rid of this ice, maybe this week somehow.

feloniousq
They must not have looked at the NAM or GFS. In fairness, the NAM and GFS have already badly botched one storm this week and whiffed in many areas on a second. Third time's the charm?

wingnutonfire
0z RGEM accumulated Ptype map. Not bad for my area, but if I'm correct hasn't it been verifying warmer than modeled? Not putting much stock in it but curious to see other opinions that have more experience and knowledge than my mere few years of winter weather watching. Another look: http://meteocentre.com/models/explorateur.php?lang=en&map=na&run=00&mod=gemreg&stn=PNM&comp=1&run2=00&mod2=gemreg&stn2=PNM&hh2=009&fixhh=1&hh=
Bob Chill
Maybe this storm is the great reuniter. What fun is that? Humans have an awful track record of peaceful coexistence. Someone needs to get destroyed or this storm is a complete disaster on all levels of the human race.

wxmeddler
RGEM has me between 7 and 10" while NAM and GFS say rain. LOL. I really don't care, if it rains, the snowpack turns into a block of ice and if it's snow then heck. I just want to see how this plays out. Jebman
I have 30 degrees with a 27 dewpoint at 330am. Radar indicates snow is getting close, the column is already pretty moist with humidities over 70 percent. I expect a car topper then just plain rain. Congrats MD on yet another excellent snow! Enjoy!

Mrs.J
Currently at 31 up here. Snow just picked up but looking at radar it will slow down again. It is sticking to the cars but not to the pavement.
