peribonca
interesting, on radar you can already see the front edge precip thump forming across central KY/eastern TN and the dry slot behind it. That front end is our DC snow (or mangled flakes!)
MacChump
I think most people from that area can't read so their forum is pretty empty.we're still shoveling out which doesn't leave much time to post

Ian
seriously there has to be a happy mediumDion was the best two part storm with a 24+ hour break ever for the region. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Amped
I think the warnings for Frederick and Carroll counties will bust. Not for the entire county, northern higher elevations could get 5 if the vortmax tracks far enough south. 18z had it producing a qpf max over southern PA and missing the M/D line. 12z was further south. Edit:It is doubtful though especially for the southern half which has marginal temps.

Avdave
I'm gonna go ahead and go with the euro I havent looked at squat all day today. What did the euro show? LWX thinking our elevation doesn't do that well. I'm at about 510' in Hamilton. * ACCUMULATIONS...1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW AND SLEET ABOVE 1500 FEET. LESS THAN AN INCH OF SNOW ELSEWHERE. ICE ACCUMULATIONS UP TO ONE TENTH OF AN INCH ARE EXPECTED ABOVE 1500 FEET. Good to see you post here, you need to post more. Im always curious as to what is falling on the other side of Beacon Hill. Im expecting .5 of snow here and .0000001 of ice

snowfan
Probably need to be north of the PA Trpke to get into the good snow for this storm. Reminds me of some of the I-80 specials or the good thumpings we would get in State College while this area was borderline and/or raining.
stormtracker
00Z NAM looks horrible for most of the MA area. Yup...it's a debacle for sure
Bob Chill
yep, if it's right, no need to waste my time driving north of Baltimore to see snow That dual n/s precip max has shown enough for worries on the southern end of the northern max. I posted yesterday a precip panel from the nam showing it. It seems so far this year the northern maxes end up further north at game time. Might not be the case tomorrow but there have been flags for sure.

mattie g
yeah, and for those of us that were never in the game, there's no pain...our consolation prize I guess Yup. No reason to even worry about it at this point (for those that were actually keeping an eye on it to begin with).

WVclimo
00Z NAM looks horrible for most of the MA area. It turned my 4-8" forecast into a freezing rain look when the steadier precip finally gets in. Even if its at 31.9 degrees and not accreting much, wonder what it would look like on the already glazed snow pack ?.

wxmeddler
Ha, NAM comes in warm. Go figure, back to my ol' forecast of a bit of snow, FRZA then rain.
