Well I did give props to James a few pages back...I always give props when they are due.

I  appreciate the nice compliments..but I don't need a backpat....I don't role like that. I just tell it how it looks to me and if I'm right, then great. If not, that's ok as well. This is the nature of the business.

This board is a great learning tool and you bet your azz that the combo of others like Ryan, Will, Phil, Tip etc are impossible to beat. Those guys are fantastic mets and I love being a part and talking weather with all of them.  Even you enthusiasts. You guys make it fun as well...although a couple of people sometimes make my hair turn a premature grey.

its all good. a ton of mets in this subforum which is great to see. lots of different viewpoints.

i do bust chops and I'm quite sarcastic. maybe i need to do a better job of getting that across in writing as just poking fun, nothing personal behind it.

Some call it deep winter

BTW..Tell Joe hi over at MRG's board..He's mad at me and holds a grudge. Wish him Happy holidays from me to him

Deep winter incoming with the temperature plunge followed by a snowstorm hopefully.

And from what I can tell he reads this place religiously so I'm sure this will reach him directly.  Sure you don't want him back? lol

Pulled off 0.19" liquid and 2.8" of snow. About 15:1 as I thought we'd see - virtually all dendrites with a little bit of, surprisingly, graupel this evening.

I was gonna say this earlier...you just reminded me...I had graupel on the way into work.

BTW, how tall is your grass! I've never seen such a difference between grass and snowboard.

1-3 or 2-4 worked out great.    With good ratios we were able to pull this off despite this Euro forecast from just 46 hours before the event attached at the bottom.  It had a great early handle on things.

BTW, how tall is your grass! I've never seen such a difference between grass and snowboard.

It's really not that tall - I was surprised to. I was walking out to my snowboard and was like how the F did this snow get so deep. I think the fact that we stayed >32F during the event and also managed to be all dendrites the snow was "sticky" but also fluffy (air pockets and stuff) so you were able to get some crazy weenie measurements on the grass. Only 0.19" liquid so it didn't really weight much. The grass doesn't make nearly the difference when you have more snow and it essentially flattens the grass under the weight.

I mow to bare minimum so no blades stick out with a two inch snow, just a preference of mine.
