With the 3.8 I picked up so far this morning added to the roughly 3 inches of snow pack left from the Sunday event. I am back up to where I was before the Freezing rain started. It's interesting that this is a much wetter snow than the one a couple of days ago. I am down to light snow at this point. Looks like there is one more band to come through out here. Hope to get to 4.5.

Look on the bright side, most everyone will be at or above normal to date after this is done.

That's true. But for the irrational snow weenie, myself included, that means very little right now. We could be at 40" on the season in February, but if we were forecasted to get 9-12" in mid Feb and only ended up with an inch, I'm pretty sure most of us here would still be pissed (regardless of how awesome winter had been to that point ;) ).

I agree though, still only December 10th, and a relatively ok start to the winter so far.

this is embarrassing.  people actually stayed home today because I told them they could get stuck at work.  guess i'll just keep my mouth shut from now on.

re closings:  I Think only the school systems worry about traveling to and from work... I don't' see how the gov/fed worries about how it is in your back yard.  if the parking lots are clear and people can use trains, then you open.
