Kmlwx
My nws point and click was reduced from 3-5 to 2-4... They do that all the time. Zones are unchanged. I wouldn't worry about it. This always happens.

winter_warlock
LWX should stop delaying the inevitable and upgrade the I-95 corridor to warnings already im sure they will, they probably will after the 00z package

DDweatherman
Put it to you this way, if you think your zone was reduced, it was probably the change from a few hours ago. In reality, if Sterling was doing anything at this point, it would be to raise totals. Don't worry out there.

MDstorm
31.2 with fog (I guess that would make it freezing fog). Driving into my neighborhood tonight with snow on the ground and Christmas lights shining made for a nice sight. Tomorrow should be even better. ⛄⛄⛄ MDstorm
das
black ice will be a big problem in you neck of the woods... Interesting observation. I saw ice "rosettes?" (don't know what they are called when you see ice forming crystalline patterns on a road as it freezes) forming on the road as I came into my neighborhood. It looks like any treatment that was there is long gone.

nw baltimore wx
That's silly. It should be Eon. Fog trying to build. 33/32 That would be the ultimate kick in the groin to Ian. But I'm with him. Naming storms is dumb. Especially when TWC does it.

blueapple
34 and foggy here in Silver Spring, I wonder how the saturated air will affect the radiation cooling rate tonight, it sounds like there's fog in the burbs NW of DC Saturated atmosphere also means no dry air for the moisture to overcome. We'll have about 5 seconds of virga.

WinterWxLuvr
Question: what guidance is out there that would cause LWX to shift their max stripe NW from earlier, and increase the odds area wide for snow greater than 4"? I haven't seen anything that would make me think shift the highest totals NW.
