VA 10/9 Snow Event

Trying to get some discussions going for the VA people and whomever else would like to chime in with there thoughts or expertise for the possibility of some snow tomorrow. Western VA in a winter wx adv for tonight and tomorrow. 1-3 inches possible. Post your thoughts!

Just getting a chance to take a look at 18z nam. Hours 20-22 are extremely close to something verifying that could make us happy. 2m 850 is literally sitting right on top of ROA area hopefully this will be an over performer like Philly but obv not as much qpf wise.

Honestly I think it looks interesting all the way to atleast 85 in NC.

 

While not much model support... where the wedge has been I dont see it warming much more and once the front.. max swings through with cooling temps aloft wouldn't take much to cool the whole column to produce snow. Its just a question how soon the cold air gets in aloft. The lowest levels should stay cool enough to support snow.

Yeah, just looked at Roanoke's sounding too, starts as RN, changes to pingers around 8am, with a narrow window afterwards till about 11am, but the column is drying out top down. Wish you guys the best, N VA / DC crew gotta be loving this, several inches on Sunday followed by a glaze, now another 6"+ on top of that.
