green tube
Nice little event, great way to start the season. The best was the heavy snow this morning. Light-mod snow continues totally agree. and seeing that wall of snow come in NW to SE this morning was really interesting.

IsentropicLift
Heaviest snowfall so far today now. Big fat flakes. Down to 30 degrees now. We were 33 at 8:15.
Stormlover74
We just flipped from very fine flakes to big fat flakes, hopefully a sign of better dendrite growth and better rates to come. Mine went in reverse. I had bigger flakes earlier now they're smaller but intensity still moderate. Probably just a sign of the upper atmosphere cooling. bluewave
Picked up a quick 2.4" on the colder surfaces here in Western Nassau with moderate to heavy snow falling and 34 degrees.

Probably just a sign of the upper atmosphere cooling. It looks like cotton falling from the sky right now. The column has cooled nicely and it's making a difference. I wonder if we had some dry air issues up this way that have finally been overcomed.

Nice radar echos out across Nassau County-there could be 4-6" if it keeps up like this.

jm1220
Yes I'm starting to not believe the backfilling... Looks like south was the place to be lol Unless the stuff to the west over NJ and PA builds in intensity, I'm not sure there will be much more accumulation in the Hudson Valley or NW NJ. Most of the action looks to be closer to the coast and even that is booking east quickly.
