wxman9
That was quite the blizzard in midtown, hohoho. Is anyone at a major reporting station showing a temp below freezing? Not sure that we ever went entirely over to snow here...at 33 now, the coldest of the day.

jm1220
The heavy mesobanding didn't work out, so we were limited to the 2 to maybe 4" accumulations we had. Also, ratios didn't work out because the snow was so wet.
Stormlover74
Newark 2.2 NYC 1.4 Lga 1.1 JFK 2.0 ISP 0.9 I saw 2.9 for Newark. Just finished shoveling. 3" on the nose. Last batch swinging through but lots of melting going on.

WeatherFox
Underperformed in Whitestone, NY. I am close to the water. Looked good for a while this morning. Wound up with an inch on grass & cars. Streets and sidewalks wet. Some snow flurries remain flying thru the air.

WE GOT HIM
I think some of the underperformed was due to much lower snow ratios near the coast than was predicted

uncle W
the 1.4" for NYC is a new daily snowfall record breaking the old record 1.3" set in 1932...
jm1220
Looks like most local stations including mine had 0.25-0.30 melted. Ratios got killed because of the warm ground and inconsistent intensity. Looks like it may have even been less than 10-1 for most. Had the heavy steady snow persisted instead of breaking up into patches the way it did, I think we would have accumulated more.
