Damage In Tolland
Is there wind behind this System on Sunday as we clear out?I don't see any modeling that clears New Engkand out on Sunday
Ginx snewx
With a low pressure in that location winds will certainly not be out of the east or northeast near the surface in CT! Guess the soundings are wrong.
CT Rain
Guess the soundings are wrong. That's 9z Sunday... I thought you were talking about during the day Sunday. What I said was that the models can overdo the freezing drizzle potential when winds shift out of the northwest behind a low... they tend to linger the moisture too long. ctsnowstorm628
what is the current thinking for ski area in the northern whites and greens? Will the precip shield come up this way enough or do we need to depend upon upslope enhancement as the storm departs? Eh, 3-6" right now. Could be a bit more with ratios. Stay tuned. powderfreak
Eh, 3-6" right now. Could be a bit more with ratios. Stay tuned. I've got 3-6" for the weekend in my ops forecast. It's how we do it this time of year...3-4" last night, 1-3" expected tonight into tomorrow morning, then 3-6" this weekend, and potential for more light accums next week. It's our nickel and dime season...Dec and Jan.

weatherwiz
It's really too bad this system doesn't have a much better mid-level look with more consolidated and wrapped up lows. The GFS though still has some pretty nice VV's over central/eastern MA early Sunday AM so it could rip there for a few hours...if ratios can stay on the higher side there they could tack on several inches in just 3-4 hour span
