dryslot
nice echoes for jeff, and eric too? looky like mod-occassionally heavy snow showers? Intensity has picked up, Looks like the CF is nearby, Eyeballing because i have not measured yet, We look to be over 1" here
Sugarloaf1989
Above freezing here with the temperature at 33F. I thought it was supposed to stay below freezing more than 20 miles inland? The ice is starting to melt off the trees and my driveway is completely snow/ice free.
powderfreak
I just got home and am quite surprised by how wintery it is in town with only like 3/4". Haven't actually measured yet but it's just as much as what was up at the ski area...if anything it looks like more because the wind isn't blowing it all around. weatherMA
"Heavier" -SN now... close to moderate I'd say. K1P1 reporting .5 mile vis...seems like a bit more...but it will be near heavy for a few seconds, then back to light. 25.1/24, about 1.1" so far. Radar actually does look all right just north of GYX. Last gasp maybe? I am glad the overnight shifts reined in the forecast somewhat. I think Ekster was in with a mop for clean up duty. When i saw that map yesterday, I actually had to go back and check the models to make sure i did not misread the qpf output, But i did not an could not see how those amounts were being justified, We would have had to have been closer to 0.5"

It happens, probably were going to need advisories anyway for the FZDZ. We just methodically back away from the 4" totals in the products with each update. I noticed the overnight shift made sure to reiterate that the headlines were primarily for ice and the snow was secondary.
MainePhotog
Intensity has picked up, Looks like the CF is nearby, Eyeballing because i have not measured yet, We look to be over 1" here Front is just to the north of my house in Bath. 32.7°F there after a paltry 1/2" of snow. 3/4 " of snow here in the west end of Portland with drizzle and 34°F. And i could see the headline for the FRDZ, The rates have been less then stellar most of the day, It looks like the snow growth is not very good as its more like needles out there as well

CoastalWx
To your upper 30's? Well real temp may be 37 but take into the account thermo issues, therefore you may report 35 or 36.
CoastalWx
Why does Kevin care if it's 34 or 37? Your glaze will melt.

40/70 Benchmark
Received about an inch before slipping to sleet and rain as we hit freezing around 11ish...no ice, as usual here on the cp. 40/70 Benchmark
Yep, when FROPA happens. BGM is 36F and SLK 33F with WSW winds. I hate that.....happened in 12/16/07, as well.
OceanStWx
With every post you've brought my temp calls up by 5 degrees each time. You would think he'd know by now. When we're dammed up the front actually helps to mix out that shallow cold, and temps rise. Cold fronts rarely act as cold fronts around here.
