NorthShoreWx
Can you explain the difference between you "calling out" the ones exposing the raving lunatic, and the ones calling out the raving lunatic? Besides, you know, one of them deserving to be called out for the nonsense hes posted here and elsewhere for the last decade? I see the differences between him and some of the posters here as a lot more subtle than you do. I must be missing my coffee; I thought maybe I could encourage some to reflect a little on their own behavior, but the closed system group-think here is too pervasive. I am not going to participate in this conversation any further.

Sympathizing with someone like KM probably isn't the best way to "encourage some to reflect a little on their own behavior", just sayin'.

Encouraging people to "reflect a little on their own behavior", while doing literally exactly the same thing as what youre complaining about, makes no sense. Martin is a legitimate issue within the weather community...the fact that you think anyone here is remotely close to him is a serious distortion of reality. tomcatct
This was one of those winters where it wanted to snow around here...now that it's march, it may not want to snow anymore...and our climo is rapidly going against us after each passing day. NYY_2
What does it mean when people talk about model runs verifying. ie: " I highly doubt this run verifies" Does this mean for the outcome the model shows to come to fruition?

Yes; "verification scores" quantify model accuracy, for instance.

Cant believe you'd take that run verbatim and not adjust for its slow bias.

In NJ you can during the "rainy season". Just like the winter CCB's the heavy rains almost always seem to find a way to dump the most rain in the vicinity of the NJT on east to NYC

Thats why i have my car and bowling to keep me sane. Where i live getting the brunt of bad weather outside of winter is a rarity in SW suffolk county so winter i hope to cash in on some great snows.
