SNOW SONG TIME!!!!!! Hopefully, the Euro is snowier for all as well:

[based on the title song from Supertramp's first album Crime of the Century (1974)]

Now winter's planning, the storm of the century.
Well when, will it be?
Read all about the snow and strong gusty winds.
Yes, It's well worth a fee
So bundle up and see...(loud but brief guitar intrusion)

How it pounds the universe
How it's gone from bad to worse

Who are these mets. of lust, greed and glory
Steal their models and let's see
But that forecast's not right, oh no what's the story?
Well there's a temp. of 43...
(Shut up, that can't be right)

Man blocks are going to be filled with piles that you would see in a small parking lot.

I think part of the fun of this storm is that no matter what happens in our backyard this is going to be a memorable and historic nor'easter.  Try to enjoy it whether or not snow is falling outside your window!

agreed. I appreciate one good fall nor'easter though I would always prefer the snowier ones.

So the city is looking at a foot plus and they're opening schools? Asking the teachers to come in just as the heavy bands are coming on shore??? Don't see this being a disaster commute or anything at all...

(Sorry I keep harping on NYC living with fiancee who is having a meltdown, told her not to go but she's conflicted. Shouldn't have to worry about it)

deblasio will be making his first major mistake right off the bat. good for him! he'll be reaching record low approval numbers by the time winters up now, not that he cares about it probably cares more about how much he can skim NYC coffers

Welp, I'm officially tired of snow. I have practically nowhere to put it now without having to launch every shovel full over the 5+ foot high snow piles on either side of my driveway.

..thinking the same thing today..then i thought of that ole' saying..

'be careful what you wish for'..

Part of me wants to see the epic thunderstorm going on right now, but I think I will refrain from looking out the window due to not wanting to see the melting snow pack. So, I will probably venture out tomorrow morning after the back-end CCB snows roll through.

I have not looked out my window since 11 PM last night; thus, I have not seen our new snow on the ground all day today out of fear of seeing all the compaction going on today. Me seeing a possible net loss of snow pack even after a 10-inch snowstorm in the same day is just heartbreaking for me. Hopefully, I will see a net gain of a snow pack tomorrow morning when I return to work.

NYC metro is stuck in what I like to call the pivot zone  as the low pulls NE it's going to bring the snow with it. Theres a huge band in PA and the precip overall is starting to expand. I think we in the metro area are good for another 2-3" see what happens. tbh we might just get nailed pretty soon lets see what happens.

Honestly I'm done with the snow for this year. I've received more than my fair share. I have so much salt on my car that you can barely tell what color it's supposed to be. Anymore and this years flooding season is going to be exceptionally bad.

Totally done too..which is pretty rare for me..but I'm mentally exhausted from tracking storms and hitting refresh on my phone every 5 seconds
