BxEngine
I have a huge issue you guys, i need advice.... I built a huge snow fort/igloo for my kids after the last storm (which worked out great with the light freezing drizzle we had for hours, really solidified it). Im worried its gonna collapse under the weight of the new snow. Any tips?
SnoSki14
I think the biggest question marks right now are those who are on the immediate border between heavy rain/snow like Monmouth County in NJ and Nassau County on Long Island. Could go either way for these areas. Gonna be close. I think even just 20-30 miles south of the city could be more borderline too like in central/southern Middlesex. Puffin Muffins
Looking for start and end timesof PAX in central Nj areas? The Yeti trying to run a basketball tourney over this holiday weekend (Fri-Mon)in Somerset Co. NJ need guidance for planning....... Can the roads be clear by 4:00 PM Friday? C'mon Yeti! Any Weather Channel troll could tell you that with the temperature rising tomorrow afternoon that the change over to rain will rinse all of the remaining snow off the roads by tomorrow evening. Although there may be some freezing overnight, rising temperature will again thaw out road surfaces and they will be perfectly fine by noon on Friday. If I'm wrong on this I promise that I'll bake you and all of the supple athletes in your precious tournament a fresh batch of muffins.

IsentropicLift
Not been mentioned much and why would it be with this blizzard approaching but the pattern looks to break after this storm. A steady diet of cutters and warmer temps should fill out the rest of February.

I don't know if the snow chances are completely done for the winter or not though. The EPO has been showing up for prolonged spells periodically for a few months now with occasional breaks so I don't know if the EPO is completely done and won't go negative again, but warm anomalies south of Alaska and off the NW coast would indicate that any Alaskan vortex may not be prolonged so who knows(more than 7-10 days). The super extended long range analogs haven't really trended in one direction vs the other with lots of different years showing up but my gut feeling is that we end up similar to 2010 in March. pazzo83
I just don't see this lasting as long as some of the models have it. Precip is already entering VA and should be nearing here in less than 12 hours. With no blocking and this kicker moving across, this does not look like a 24-30hr storm. The Yeti has been hearing a lot about a colder result, especially with the Euro singing its tune this afternoon. That tick to the east has The Yeti in a bit of a pinch. Not to mention our town is out of SALT!! Worried that this may come in a bit colder than you have anticiplated. Gotta respect the EURO here. If I were you, might have to don the apron and get baking........ The CCB looks to hammer areas to your northwest and you warm the fastest. I still have no idea why you prefer New York over Virginia. Having lived in both.
