After seeing the EURO and relying on a CCB to get the biggest totals of the storm on LI i am not that enthused. Thinking it will 6" on LI to snizzle and some snow on the tail for like 6-8" tops. Backside heavy snows never work out, last time was christmas 2002 so im not feeling too good for coastal areas if the ECMWF were to verify

Its one run lol

Its not 1 run , The coast is not wire to wire snow . We change over , then its a matter of how long we rain . All the Non American  models see it .

And you better hope thats the last W shift or the CCB will be in the lower hudson valley as we dry slot

I have a flight to ATL (en route to the DR) leaving Friday morning, 6am, Southwest. I think I figured out which actual plane is the one used: there is a flight that goes from ATL to LGA leaving 9pm the day before. If that flight can get to NY, I think I would be clear to leave Fri morning. Hopefully this thing is faster than progged.

Exactly we may only get a few inches, if that given the trends.

Pretty wishful thinking. The scale of this storm is going to have flights backed up for days. I pretty much gave up flying in February around here because it almost always puts some kind of damper on my trips. Wish you the best, though.

Thanks. ATL should be in good shape by then, if the coastal plain is mostly rain by midday Thurs I might be ok. This I believe is one of the first flights that leaves LGA in the morning, so that helps.
