so much for the first super bowl outside in a cold climate....  east rutherford will be one of the warmer places in the entire country today.

They lucked out big time and found one of the only days in between the extreme cold and the snowy pattern coming up. It obviously won't be in the 50's during the game, probably low to mid 40s dropping to upper 30s but still they lucked out.

At least you guys are preparing. Down here everyone thinks it will be like today tomorrow. Major oops. Tomorrow's going to be a disaster around NYC.

Ha yeah thats true...this type of event leads to the "weathermen are always wrong" stuff, not looking forward to that. Defending these red taggers gets old.

Am I the only one that cares more about the snow then the Super Bowl?

nope id rather be tracking a blizzard than watching a leather ball being thrown around by a bunch of psychos in helmets lol. I do enjoy football but im not that into it to watch it religiously. only thing I care about tonight is if I hit my SB pot numbers

Let me start by saying that, from a wx weenie perspective, I'm loving this winter. In the absence of a truly crushing 2'+ KU, we've had a whole bunch of seemingly minor systems that have eaten their Wheaties and overperformed, compared to how they look 3+ days beforehand. It's been the year of the NW trend.

So, while the weenie in me is still rooting for these little engines that could, the "responsible" side of me is hoping we can capture and hold this magic for next winter, and call it a season.

For those who don't know, during the 1/21 storm, I slipped and fell while walking into a Stop & Shop. I broke my lower leg and ankle in more than 9 places, and had surgery to put in a rod and screws.

So now, looking at another bumped-up snowfall forecast, and knowing I have an appointment tomorrow, I'm dreading having to navigate through 6+ inches of snow on crutches. And yet, for some strange (arguably unhealthy) reason, I'm still doing fist pumps watching the latest runs.

Guess I'm just a weird sicko. ;)

I. Know exactly what you mean ! I have an appointment tmrw too...and I'm dreading the travel to it, yet watching each model run intently. It's the weather weenie in all of us. Just can't help it ! By the way, I'm sorry to hear of your fall and hope that some of this winter can save itself for next year as you recover ! But...since the snow is inevitable now, enjoy !
