Winds are NW on GFS for Tuesday which is unfavorable for NYC but 850's are cold around -20C. I still think we end up colder Sat AM than Tues AM. Dont worry about next storm TYPE . After the end of Feb, it becomes a lot more rare for us to get accumulating snow events, although winter doesn't technically end until late March. Your climate isn't the same as ours. We've had some accumulating snow events in March in the last decade but they are much more frequent in February. Are they just grasping for anything that shows a big storm or does that argument have legs? If I'm not mistaken Boxing day was doing something similar.
