Any snow pack we might have will thin out by then. Might still have an inch or two. Winds are NW on GFS for Tuesday which is unfavorable for NYC but 850's are cold around -20C. I still think we end up colder Sat AM than Tues AM.

Dont worry about next storm TYPE  . Lotta cold air around  MJO GOIN 8 1 2 - Neg Epo  Neg AO ,

prob argue for this to come east ...   like i said LR always a dice roll .

Met winter is a month old now. After the end of Feb, it becomes a lot more rare for us Long Beach to get accumulating snow events, although winter doesn't technically end until late March.

 

I'm assuming he lives in NYC. Your climate isn't the same as ours. We've had some accumulating snow events in March in the last decade but they are much more frequent in February.

Is everyone that is screaming about the upper air maps not matching the surface maps showing a single low closer to the coast crazy? Are they just grasping for anything that shows a big storm or does that argument have legs? If I'm not mistaken Boxing day was doing something similar.
