To be honest, earthlight's reasoning is correct. Yanks, I think you just have to have a sense of humor through it all. Especially in times when we are obviously getting screwed and every storm is a miss. It only fuels the fire when you post images of the NAM long range and expect it to be taken seriously. Forky obviously does know his stuff and I do share with him a similar way of thinking (don't take life too seriously and acknowledge things when they're simply comical). I truly think we should just laugh this all off. It's silly. It's actually funny. Acknowledge the main points : yes, yanks you post a ton of stuff, some accurate but some contradicting the previous posts you just made minutes before it. And yes, seeing that you do get bothered when criticized, Forky does instigate and he does know the right buttons to press to get on your nerves (subtle one liners that are insulting, but at the same time leave you wanting a deeper answer). Laugh it off, laugh it off.....I actually think both posters are entertaining in more ways than one and are fun to read. And remember, yanks, there have been times when I've been really pissed at someone, but in taking the time to step back and look at it from the outside, I can't help but laugh at how ridiculous the drama is

They both are fun to read, and Forky is getting exactly what he wants when Yanksfan goes off on rants like yesterday and mentions his "connections who will look into it". I think most of us got some laughs from that exchange.

This is what I don't understand. When have I ever posted images of the long range NAM and expect it to be taken seriously?

It was just a ridiculous way of saying that I was going to put some extra effort into getting a response out of the board admins.

I've made my peace with the staff, had a few private messages with a few board mods. It's all good.

Can we end this already, the feud between myself and Forky is over. I'm smart enough to realize that I'm never going to win. Just drop the subject, thanks.

Trust me man, I'm just trying to help. Once you acknowledge the situation and that it is played and over with, laugh it off. Until you can laugh it off, this will be a continuing issue on this weather forum, trust me. It does play a big part in our experience of the board. So many (hundreds and hundreds) of posts in so many threads are about this very issue. Saying it's over without laughing it off will mean that it will just continue. Don't think you'll never win. If you can take it for what it is and find the whole thing as silly, then you win

If someone was smart and wanted to make money they would put on a "yanksfan vs. forky" boxing match for the americanwx conference. $20 buy in for the match, BOOM! Money and some live boxing LOL

I'm still debating whether or not I am going to attend. The only two speakers I really wanted to see are Josh and Paul Kocin and I've already met Paul once a few years back when he came to Kean.

Speaking of the euro long range.....when was the last time the long range euro and long range GFS were in agreement ? It's something I've noticed just has not happened much this winter

It seems like the upgrade to the Euro ruined it.

I dont get why people do this. Was the EURO really in need of an upgrade when they installed the upgrade. On the other hand first half of this winter was predominantly northern stream driven storms so regardless that was its weak point to begin with pre/post upgrade

Either that or the Euro isn't good with progressive patterns.
