WintersGrasp
Honestly, it'd be good having met-only model discussion forums, read only to us. However, are there enough mets to always do the play by plays? Definitely not Sent from my iPhone
jm1220
That is a great idea. I don't post here more forum because of the drama. I'll be happy to join another board At least the drama and bickering are being kept in the right thread now.

mattinpa
Still any storm on the Euro Anthony? It's been a very good winter here also but not quite as good as the city of Philly itself. Even I have seen some suppressed storms.

Even I have seen some suppressed storms. Yes, the Euro ensemble is still very favorable for a major East Coast storm for next Tuesday and Wednesday. There is an unusually high chance of a very intense storm forming somewhere near the East Coast at that time.

NycStormChaser
Probably will have to congratulate the central and southern mid-atlantic again. As long as we have a quiet hurricane season I'll be happy. I have a new yacht in jersey city. I'll be pissed if I have to travel north river to ride out a storm

IsentropicLift
The euro control showed an 897 mb bomb today...wow!!! Really? Where? The control run does have a massive noreaster but I have no way of telling the strength. It has over 2" of QPF for the area with 3 feet of snow inland
famartin
You guys should stop looking at the EPS control. Really. Its only a little better than looking at a GFS ensemble member.
Juliancolton
Who told the weenies about the Euro control anyway? Never heard of it being used operationally before it's been discussed ad nauseum this week.

IsentropicLift
You guys should stop looking at the EPS control. Really. Its only a little better than looking at a GFS ensemble member. I look at it for comical relief, as is the case with today's run apparently.
IsentropicLift
The Euro Ensemble is far superior product. correct? The control run is essentially all of the euro ensembles being run at the same time with very low resolution. It's an experimental product. famartin
The Euro Ensemble is far superior product. correct? OK, looks like the Euro control needs an explanation. You have the Euro operational, high resolution, best model data feed, in essence "the best of the best". The Euro Ensemble is a blend of 50 ensemble members plus the EPS control run. Really great as a blend, not good individually. So, what is the EPS control? Its a lower version of the Euro operational. In essence, a crappier version of the Euro op. Kapish?
