Jebman
I see ice developing on the road in front of my house. It is branching out from the linear piles of snow that the plow left on the road. Steady frz rain. Temp is up to 30. Three more degrees and we are out of the proverbial woods. Branches are getting weighed down.

ravensrule
is this a bust? I am stuck at 29.4 with light ZR so it's not a bust here, but we have to see how it is when the heavier stuff gets in here.
Amped
Trees are coated with ice here. Just some drizzle.
Pityflakes
is this a bust? I don't see any widespread power outages in central VA, so doesn't look like this will be a high-impact icing event. Lots of rain. Should be pretty in the am.
hosj III
It seems the snow over-preformed and the ice under-preformed. Shame. Decent ice storms are rare around here, even more so than decent snowstorms.

Should be pretty in the am. Dryslot this AM killed that-- If we had gotten the .5 as modeled, even if it was half sleet-- we'd be pushing it now. Instead, it was .10 to .22 in most areas--
Stormpc
No bust with ice yet. Accumulating nicely at 30.5. it will be more of a tree problem.
hosj III
Looking at radar, it's still mostly ice everywhere. Maybe my own bust calls were unwarranted.
Disc
Hard to measure ice on a tree branch in the dark while holding a flashlight, but I'd say roughly 0.25" of ice. Trees and lines beginning to droop and precip still falling.
wxmeddler
About 1/8" with FZDZ, same can be safely said I think for the counties that border the M/D line.
snowfan
Even without any lights, its easy to see that ice is accumulating nicely on the trees (most easily detected on the pines) in the woods behind the house. I'm still sitting at 31 and the ice is still accumulating on the deck.
Grothar of Herndon
is this a bust? As of now I don't think so, but may change my mind in the morning. Icy here on the expected area--trees, bushes, autos, driveways, sidewalks, etc. Roads where treated are just wet, but icy on the sides. Part of the freezing issue here is that the Freezing rain is coming down moderately leading to a lot of the water running instead of freezing on contact. I think light/slower rain freezes on contact better...

MillvilleWx
Sitting a 28.9 in Carney, MD. Glaze on everything. Treacherous to walk out on sidewalk. Flag out in front of house is also folded stuck from ice. I've never seen it like that before
