yoda
I think I heard that LWX was releasing an 18z balloon to get a good idea of what's going on upstairs. Will be interesting to see how that impacts the short range high-rez models. They did release one... waiting on it
DCAlexandria
As for snow maps, DT and CWG dud pretty well. I'll score DT a 8.5 and CWG 7.
Mrs.J
Good job by the HRRR essentially nailing it starting at the 8AM run. blueapple
Anyone think DC proper stays freezing all Night? Yeah, maybe Old Town/DCA/The Mall will rise before, but even you and me in around King & 395 should stay below until sunrise.

stormtracker
Lots of liquid during the heaviest precip? It has heavy precip for dc proper before we go above freezing...and that's saying it has the timing exactly right on that. After we go above freezing, its still below N and W with heavy precip

yoda
Could LWX drop the WSW and issue ISW later this evening? Or does the risk of sleet in the area negate a change to ISW?
BTRWx
if you don't want a lot of icing you want heavier rates as the latent heat release process impedes the freezing process. I want lots of icing

wxdude64
We have been dryslotted since about 11 AM here after some really nasty pingers and ZR. Temp is 27 degrees, but we need QPF down here! Hopefully the batch later on will provide. Congrats to y'all in the North. You guys deserve this one. Agree 100%. Many in and around there have gone close to two years with marginal 'whiteness'. Enjoy!
