ChescoWx
Latest Wxsim has a mix picking back up again later this evening transitioning to ZR toward midnight. Unfortunately the trend continues to be colder and it now has temps staying below freezing here in NW Chesco till almost 9am - by that time another another 0.71" of frozen has fallen. Looks like another inch or 2 of snow may fall before the total change to ZR. So far 3.8" on the board here. The Wxsim also paints another 2 to 4" of snow on Tuesday late AM

NJHurricane
Ground truth confirmation for the PHL/national park measurement...Took a walk around my home base National Park NJ...as small as this town is there was a clear one inch gradient, heavier towards the river...I took some rough measurements near the Red Bank Battlefield monument park...within sight of PHL control tower...assuming the observer is on that side of town I concur with the official measurement...my first real snow since we moved from one town over in Woodbury, when we moved to our last location in Woodbury was the microband that hit the airport and Gloucester county several years ago...I need to move every year lol
KamuSnow
6.75" in Concord Township, PA - an awesome event. Roads were rough, warm ground underneath seemed to help make a nice layer of ice on main roads with the heavy snow rates. There may be enough snow to survive the rain tomorrow and stick around for the rest of the week. Lights look good with snow on the ground!
noctilucent
I'll go with 3.3" here in Warrington, Bucks County, PA.....though I measured pockets with as much as 4.5". Temp is 26.7, with a light ENE wind....surprising that the wind has not shifted to a more southerly component or the temp has not risen. I have a trip to North Jersey tomorrow (inland)...and earlier today I figured it would not be an issue....now....I guess I'd better check first before taking off. MGorse
5.1 inches of snow in Delran, NJ. Seems to be some freezing drizzle occurring now. Today was probably the most rapidly changing shift I have worked in my NWS career so far. We saw the banding setting up across northern Maryland with moderate to heavy snow in the obs under it. We had a feeling there would be a burst of snow, but just wow! The thermal gradient was quite impressive aloft from our area southward and that allowed for rapid strengthening of the frontogenetic forcing. It appears there was some elevated instability within that band which helped with the 1-3 inches per hour snowfall rates. The HRRR this morning actually picked up on that band and then did fairly well. After looking at the totals, just wow! I smell a case study on this bad boy. At least I got to break out my snow thrower. I am glad I am off from work tomorrow as I am exhausted and probably have less hair than I did early this morning.
