Good heavy showers but its warm.

 

Checking on Boone...32.

 

Overall looks wetter than I thought but above freezing as I figured. Ice Storm Warning for Alamance?...LOL.

Actually there still is CAA taking place with the N/NE flow.... DPs are low enough to support wetbulb temps near 30.  So what is so "lol" about it?

Now 33.3. With DP in the mid 20s around the area, definitely think we go below freezing for a while. Only question is precip intensity.

 

RAP was and is too warm. 11z RAP initializing with temps too warm at least over the northern piedmont. This was the forecast for the 11z RAP for temps at 7am.

Dewpoints to the east and south east are lower than us here in the Northern Foothills i in Surry county near Mt. Airy

Weird.....It's sleeting in Danville and the northern NC border counties while it's raining in Roanoke. The wedge is deeper to the east.

Edit.... just saw that Boone has now dropped to 30 degrees.
