My kids haven't had real sledding since 2011 i think temps are suspect too, i'm more interested in monday and any snow shower activity that follows. what's kinda cool is that it's only 12/26. still 2 months left of tracking nickel and dimers lol. That's a long time... Even in a crappy area like dc I think you're wrong..you got 20" last year...now for sure if your idea of a good winter is the big storm sure be disappointed...but you complained in 09-10..you complained during each of the big storms as they were happening...seriously..it's hard not to get a little worked up when you get this way..but whatever..I want it to snow too. I don't remember complaining....maybe a bit when it looked like there wouldn't be a pivot on the radar for a time and couldn't enjoy the blizzard the week after because we were on the western southern edge and we got 12 less than Baltimore i think it's fine that you love a good, crazy snowstorm, and might find many of the storms here to be underachievers, but the reality is that they are just few and far between here. we don't do extreme weather very well. we just don't, in any season really. what's most disturbing to me is how we're losing out on 2-4" events so easily the last few years. i don't like that trend at all. That's a long time... Even in a crappy area like dc It's relative to location and expectations. For calendar year 2013 I've had about 16 inches of snow, including a few events ~4 inches. More than enough for me, but obviously not for those with more of a passion for snow. Plus DC and DCA areas have seen more challenges with accumulating events.
