I started with some "lower stomach" problems myself yesterday and took a couple probiotic pills which seemed to work. 1 day wasn't so bad. I hope you feel better, or at least good enough to drink over the holidays.

Thanks...Yeah...you don't have the stomach flu/bug....a couple pills were no match for what occurred yesterday...

Had a stomach bug just before thanksgiving, thankfully only the hubby and I got it and not the little one.

Last year my at-the-time 11 month old got norovirus on Dec 22, complete with a trip to the ER since he hadn't peed in 12 hours.  I got it the next day.  I had never been that sick in my life.  Thankfully it was a 12 hour thing for me and we didn't have to "cancel" Christmas.

Jan is due to be good. It mostly sucked in 2010.

other than 1/30, we only had that 2" event on 1/7-8 that in any other winter would have been a cartopper since it was basically a frontal passage with a low to our west...

ha..does it pass quickly?...The projectile vomiting only lasted 1/2 day...but the fatigue is there...and the nausea a little...and I think the fever is coming back

As others have said, it's pretty much a two-day deal. My wife got hit harder than I did, though, so it took her out for a little over three days. Daughter looked fine, but the diaper and he floor told a different story. The aches and nausea were the killers for me, even though I didn't throw up much of anything. Also the chills...those f'ing chills.

I count 1/30 as Feb in 2010. 2" is pretty huge though.

Thanks all.  I have been told I look awful.  I feel pretty bad still.  Hopefully another day or 2 and I'll be back to normal.

Sounds awful, luckily somehow some way I have avoided it this year, but have been ****ting some blood lately, probably stress and my planters facitis pain in my foot   Hope you feel better soon Matt

What the heck is planters facitis Dave....lol

It is a painful spot that affects your heel and your ankle area. It sucks big time. One of my friends at Virgin America has to wear this special boot to releive some of the pain.

From Wiki

Plantar fasciitis (PF), also known as Plantar Heel Pain (PHP) is a painful inflammatory process of the plantar fascia, the connective tissue or ligament on the sole (bottom surface) of the foot. It is often caused by overuse of the plantar fascia, increases in activities, weight or age. It is a very common condition and can be difficult to treat if not looked after properly.

Longstanding cases of plantar fasciitis often demonstrate more degenerative changes than inflammatory changes, in which case they are termed plantar fasciosis.[1] The suffix "osis" implies a pathology of chronic degeneration without inflammation. Since tendons and ligaments do not contain blood vessels, they do not actually become inflamed. Instead, injury to the tendon is usually the result of an accumulation over time of microscopic tears at the cellular level.[citation needed]

The plantar fascia is a thick fibrous band of connective tissue originating on the bottom surface of the calcaneus (heel bone) and extending along the sole of the foot towards the toes. It has been reported that plantar fasciitis occurs in two million Americans a year and in 10% of the U.S. population over a lifetime.[2] It is commonly associated with long periods of weight bearing and much more prevalent with hyper-pronation (flat feet). Among non-athletic populations, it is associated with a high body mass index.[3] The pain is usually felt on the underside of the heel and is often most intense with the first steps of the day. Another symptom is that the sufferer has difficulty bending the foot so that the toes are brought toward the shin (decreased dorsiflexion of the ankle). A symptom commonly recognized among sufferers of plantar fasciitis is an increased probability of knee pains, especially among runners.

All jokes aside you should have that checked out ASAP. Most of the time it is nothing major but sometimes it can be very dangerous. Please get it checked out.

Agree 100%. Take it from someone who has been there. I had an ulcer sitting right on top a blood vessel that bust in my gut, ended up in ER and hospital for a week! Went thru 8 units of blood over a three days period. That is something you don't want to play with AvDave!

That may be TMI, but better safe than sorry.

DT has a long post on FB about how the first week of Jan will be 'significant'.  I think my favorite thing about it is this exchange in the comments:

Remember that.  We don't do Cliff Notes in science.  Just ALEETS...

I think dt knows his stuff but i would be more cautious with bold calls right now. Not just the first week of jan but he's going cold to very cold for all of January now and it's on the heels early signs of the ao flipping. The -epo will likely relax again in Jan. If we don't have blocking then ______. Short term memory can fill in that blank.
