Yeah.

Almost as bad as those boo-hooing the 70's during the summer, wearing parkas in the 60's like it was Alaska or something......

That's one person. Everyone else would love 70s in the summer, even Ian, since it might mean a record low.

So many people acting as if a day in the 70s is as bad as 95 and humid in the summer. It's really unbecoming.

It's far worse for some of us. I hate 85 in the summer. I accept it because it's normal. Par for the course. If it's 98, I still hate it.

Do you realize the 70 in Winchester is nearly 40 degrees above normal? How would you feel about 125 in summer? Or how about 45 on the 4th of July?

Also, I'll try to remember your dislike of complaining the next time it snows 6" here and rains at your house.

I really like our NORMAL weather. 4 nice seasons, nothing too extreme in any direction.

True. We do get a lot of mediocre weather. But we torch at least once or twice most winters lately. So maybe we just got it out of the way early.

^This^....however I'm not complaining. Extremes are what they are. Still deserves a comment or two when it happens.

I'm a 'colder is better' person, so this is terrible to me. I'll just try to keep this in perspective when we have a -40 departure

in Jan for a low and the 'heaters' are screaming.

There is usually one pretty solid warmup during winter.  But setting the all-time December max low temps (on back-to-back days) is sort of by definition not normal.

I don't know what to say to someone who hates 85 in the summer in this part of the country, other than the same old, same old.

I frankly don't care about how big the departure is. 70 is pleasant, no matter the season. And asking how I'd like a 125-degree day is like asking how I'd like a -10-degree day here - they're both unrealistic.

If we had a 50-degree day in summer, I wouldn't complain, other than for the fact that my garden wouldn't like it, because 50 isn't awful and I'd know that the warmth was coming back. Everyone knows that the temperature is going to go back down, and it's not as if it's stifling outside right now. For those who like cold, it really shouldn't be too hard to accept it for what it is, not be so dramatic about it, and be happy that it'll be cold in less than 48 hours.

But this place would be boring if people weren't complaining and complaining about people complaining, so now I'm being too serious about this.
